power of attorney

  • To apply for a Power of Attorney, please schedule an appointment in advance through the website (click here to book an appointment) or by calling 02085630008.
  • The principal must present valid identification (ID card or passport). The transaction will not be completed without proof of identity.
  • To protect your interests, all powers of attorney that include the right to sell or dispose of movable assets require the principal to be present at the Embassy for their execution.
  • The Embassy uses its own Power of Attorney forms. If you have a specific form, please send a copy (Word document) to the Consulate’s email.
  • You may execute a Power of Attorney via registered mail if you are unable to attend in person due to distance (over 225 miles from Copenhagen) or in special humanitarian cases. Please contact the Embassy to obtain prior approval and to schedule a video call.
  • If executing the Power of Attorney by mail, please include a prepaid registered envelope clearly labeled with the applicant’s name, address, and phone number for returning the executed document.
  • Then contact the Consulate via email (consular@palmission.dk ) or by phone to confirm receipt of your application.
  • The Consulate is not responsible for any applications lost in the mail.
